'I ditched expensive perfume for Amazon's £7 'Summer in a bottle' body spray

Beauty buffs are heaping praise on a £6 Amazon body fragrance that has been hailed a 'tropical Summer holiday in a bottle'. The budget body spray has had more than 145.2m views on TikTok, with fragrance lovers say it 'lasts all day and night', and have called it the 'perfect Summer scent'.

Hawaiian Tropic, which is traditionally known for its suncare range, have recently gone viral on the social media platform for its “delicious” and “tropical” range of body sprays. Originally retailing at £10 for a 250ml bottle and £7 for 100ml, the bigger bottles of some Hawaiian Tropic scents are now almost half price online at Amazon for £5.70.

There are over a dozen “island-inspired exotic scents” available, with fragrances including fruity passion flower and mango, to juicy palm tree and watermelon.. The “luxurious” fragrances have been flagged as Amazon Choice products, meaning the product is highly rated, well priced and available to shop immediately.

With over 1,600 ratings, there are hundreds of glowing reviews, the Hawaiian Tropic Golden Paradise Body Mist seems to be a fan favourite. It’s luxurious yet light consistency makes it perfect to be worn all over the body during the daytime.

This scent is infused with warm sand and creamy coconut. Top notes are pear, pineapple and apple for a touch of sweet while at the heart of the fragrance there is coconut, freesia and jasmine. The base notes include musk, sandalwood and amber, coming together to make an “irresistible signature scent”.

Some of the £6 Hawaiian Tropic fragrances are shimmery, and will give your skin a gorgeous golden glow in the sun. Others have cooling properties, which will prove invaluable on Summer holidays or on hot days.

Awarding the £5.70 Hawaiian Tropic body mist five stars, Philipa said: “Smells amazing and like summer! Coconut with a hint of pineapple, bit like a pina colada. Good for the price.”

Amazon shopper Carnybear said: “After reading reviews of the different scents on here, I decided to opt for 'Beach Dreams'- and I'm so glad I did! The smell instantly takes me back to my childhood as it reminds me of my much loved 'Malibu Barbie' perfume.

“Once dry, the body mist leaves a gorgeous, twinkly silver sheen on your skin, and I was surprised for how long the scent and the glitter lasted on my skin. A little goes a long way, so its worth paying a bit more for this than the high street brands as it will last quite a while.

Another fan of the budget £6 Amazon perfume said: "I bought this not knowing what it smelled like. I love coconut and any beachy smells. This stuff smells just like bum bum cream. Well the bum bum body spray. I absolutely love this smell. It is a great price and you get a big bottle. It is my new signature smell. I am always getting compliments on how good I smell. I see a lot of people saying the longevity of this isn’t very long. I disagree. I can still Smell it on my clothes after I wash them. Love love love this body spray!!
